Founder and CEO Dr. Corinne Brion (Project Lead) holds a bachelor’s in international business, a Master in Education and a PhD in Leadership Studies. Corinne is currently a tenured Associate professor at the University of Dayton with strong ties to Ghana. Corinne has extensive experience in both entrepreneurship and education. Additionally, her holistic and interdisciplinary background allows her to approach problems from multiple angles and to design comprehensive, impactful solutions. Corinne is a practitioner and researcher who takes global projects from idea to successful implementation. She enjoys working with students in outside the classrooms, connecting them to organizations that provide quality experiential learning opportunities that amplify impact. As a teacher and entrepreneur, Corinne values interdisciplinary partnerships and collaboration because these alliances foster innovation, agility, and stimulate learning by sharing perspectives and feedback. She is multicultural and multilingual and always seek opportunities to engage with colleagues and global leaders from various organizations who use business for good. Turtle Up is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Dayton, Ohio and Ghana that is dedicated to protecting sea turtles, educating the public about environmental sustainability, and advancing environmental and economic transformation through reciprocal partnerships with fishing communities in Ghana. The mission of Turtle Up is to sustainably preserve and conserve Ghana’s sea turtles by utilizing a community-based approach. Since its inception in 2023, Turtle Up has focused on spreading awareness through social media, traditional media and local events and personal connections. Turtle up has recruited a talented Board of Directors focused on strategic planning, compliance and long-term financial sustainability. Turtle Up is also partnering with Ghanaian organizations such as Global Volunteers International (GVI) and Coliba.
